Honorable Deborah R. Gilg, (Retired United States Attorney for Nebraska)

From a difficult, abusive childhood, Mrs. Gilg persevered to become the  first female United States Attorney for Nebraska. She has had a wide-ranging professional career not only as a federal and state prosecutor but as an adjunct law professor, private practitioner and mediator.  Public service has been a professional priority as she was the Chair of the Nebraska Equal Opportunity Commission, administrative hearing officer for the Nebraska Equal Opportunity Commission, and currently serves on the Nebraska Crime Commission and the Institute for Global Leadership. Since her retirement as U.S. Attorney, she has concentrated on developing women empowerment conferences and mentoring young female professionals
