Michael D. White, MD
Dr. White currently serves as the chief academic officer of CHI Health in Omaha, Nebraska. He also serves as the assistant to the provost for health sciences for Creighton University and associate dean for educational education in the Creighton University School of Medicine, faculty member the Creighton University School of Medicine. He also serves on the steering committee that oversees development of the new CHI Health Academic Health System and continually identifies opportunities to enhance the learning environment for healthcare clinicians of the future. Additionally, he is a member of the leadership team of the Center Interprofessional Education, Collaboration and Research. Dr. White previously served in many leadership roles within the university and most recently was associate dean for undergraduate medical education.
Dr. White received his medical degree from the Creighton University School of Medicine, where he also completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease. He completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Duke University in Durham, N.C. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention.
Dr. White is a practicing interventional cardiologist. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology. His passion is the development of collaborative education of health science students so that they are prepared to enter the dynamic world of team-based care delivery.
